Ralph DeCarli, born 1958, was raised in suburban Commack, Long Island, NY, the son of post WWII European immigrants. Ralph attended public schools in Commack, relocating to Greenwich Village, NYC while attending The Cooper Union. Upon completing college, Ralph returned back to Long Island, residing in East Northport, NY since 1981.
Ralph owned and operated several businesses focused on architecture, construction, development and real estate through 2010, with projects located throughout the lower 48 states and all the Canadian provinces.
When Ralph's parents entered the later stages of elder care, Ralph as a pilot, pursued his aviation interests as a jet charter operator and flight school operator at Farmingdale Republic Airport on Long Island. Upon the passing of his parents, Ralph retired and formally began his full-time fine art career as artist/painter.
Ralph works from his home-based studio and gallery in East Northport, NY in the contemporary, passive solar home he designed and built himself.
Ralph is married with two grown children from his first marriage and a step-son with three step-granddaughters from his current wife Maria.
